Yes, and Catholic religion as organized by the Vatican, and many other religions and ideologies.
Also, it seems reasonable that any group which encourages members to lie to, cheat, and even KILL non-members who resist joining the group . . . is not a group that should be allowed into or tolerated in any free society.
Islam is a religion that was poisoned from its very origins. Leading countless of their followers over many centuries to act in violent and abusive ways at their own spiritual demise. I know this is very woo woo, but the supposed "archangel" that inspired Mohammed was not an entity of good. The problem is that most Muslims use zero discernment and naively accept that the spiritual entity must've been good.
My reminder is that entities of evil don't have the power of Godly creation. They can only manipulate and whisper in humans' ears to do their bidding for worldly gifts and incentives (money, fame, sex, power). This is a telltale sign of a red flag in which the "archangel" and Mohammed show. Contrast that to Jesus Christ, a literal manifestation of God that created actual miracles and healing for mankind. No need for whispers and manipulation if you're an entity of good and Godliness.

I have heard religious scholars suggest that the angel who spoke to Muhammad was actually Satan falsely presenting himself as one of God’s messenger angels.
It was an "angel of light" if I'm not mistaken, just as with Mormonism. (Many parallels between Mohammad and Joseph Smith.) The Quran also says that "Allah is the greatest of all deceivers" (Quran 3:54). The actual word is "makr" which in Arabic is so strong that you would not call someone that word without them getting pretty angry at you. My Saudi friend said that calling someone a makr is beyond calling them a deceiver, but a real sonofabitch liar.
Jesus said, "The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy. I have come so that you may have abundant life." (John 10:10) So if any Muslim tells you that the Bible mentions Mohammad, then yes, he is mentioned prophetically in that verse as Mohammad was a thief who raided caravans, tortured, murdered, raped, and destroyed.
Yeah, that's my conclusion too. Some people call it a Jinn, but whatever word used, it did not seem like it had good intentions.
I feel the same away about new age channelers too. You can't just believe a higher dimensional being has your best interests just because they are a spiritual being. A lot of them have their fun being tricksters to mankind and misleading them.

On one issue I would expand a little. It is indeed a made up word, like all words are made-up. But it is internally incoherent. Meaning, those who ingress this word into their thinking, suffer from Cognitive dissonance

So, basically, it is about an unreasonable fear to subjugation. And this is where it the word runs amok. It is totally natural and normal to NOT subject yourself. By Nature, you have your own authority. Where do you think your rights come from?
