He was that rare, larger than life personality. I'm going to miss seeing him in the news.
Anyone else find it odd that Rush is honored at the SOTU, dead a few weeks later. Hogan speaks at the RNC, dead within a year.

I did read somewhere that there are award ceremonies they invite you, so they can poison you. One has to wonder, if there is some truth to the rumour.
Not necessarily suggesting it was nefarious, either, just not as presented.

I have also been wondering if his early death was connected to steroid use.
It's possible. Most guys who take them rarely get past the age of 46.
Look at Barry Bonds (Baseball) early and late in his career. Even his head got bigger. That can't be good for someone. Somehow he is still alive at 61 though.

Supplements and steroids may have been a factor. Look how many wrestlers and bodybuilders suffer early deaths and cardiac issues.
Yup. In his prime he was a supposedly a steroid abuser. Maybe he was lucky to make it this long.
