The caloric deficit strategy though, did she do it? I mean, I know there are many factors involved, but I really would have a very hard time believing that someone consistently on a caloric deficit would not release excess weight/fat stores.
Stress and hormones are certainly a big factor, again, there are many... but I wonder if it is possible for someone to actually have a significant enough caloric deficit over a significant period of time without any result? I would find that very hard to believe.
I learned from Walter Veith long ago that your body needs to go at least 14 hours without eating in order to start using stored fat for energy. I stopped my nighttime snacks habit and lost 30 pounds over 30 weeks to get to my healthy weight and I've stayed there for 10 plus years. No starving myself, no food restrictions or suffering.
