Enough of us who have seen what we've seen can contest it is. My exposure was in 2018, February I believe.
There was a 'gore' site called Best Gore that, eventually, got shut down. If you've heard or know about Rotten.com, Best Gore ( and others ) made Rotten look like Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood.
Anyway, the owner of the Best Gore site made a post saying he had a very controversial video he was going to have up on the site for 24 hrs and then he was going to take it down.
This wasn't long before the whole convid thing started. It was the same 3.5 minutes or so I had previously seen. 100% of users who viewed it agreed, if it was a fake, it was the best fake ever. This was before deep fakes really stared.
I've talked about it a few times, but I will not repeat what I saw ; it's beyond words. But, if anyone else here as seen what I've seen : Oshkosh B'gosh - you know what that means
Monkey in a cage on a table comes to mind. Poor little feller. Those videos, which i only watched half of one, were enough for me to not seek gore shit out ever again.
I was probably only able to stomach it because I don't have kids. I mean, I regularly visit the gore sites, or kill sites as I call them, but I won't watch anything with kids.
And to expand, there's stuff that's not allowed on any of the sites I go on. No child murders; accidents are allowed ( hit by car for example ) and zero, zero, zero animal anything unless it's an animal attacking a person.
One of the ones I more frequent recently full banned any self harm videos and we couldn't be happier, so yea... it's videos of people dying, but there's rules if that helps not paint me as a total psycho lol.
From a former Sheriff deputy here in SoCal who spoke to NYPD, all those officers who watched content on said laptop, most were very shook up.
Yes it was real.
I wonder if Frazzledrip is real.
Ellen had that girls bloody face on a hoodie
Also out of the 12 people who saw weiners laptop including 9 police officers. All 9 were found dead by questionable suicide...
Also Wilson from Cast Away.
I forgot about that.

before the internet, there was a series of movies called Faces of Death

Hurts my soul.
Yes sir, I've seen all 6 originals lol.
I don’t want to see it. I saw the link to the video but didn’t click on it. I’m just going to go with if true, it was probably more than I can handle.

Why in gods name would you ever “frequent” content like that?
Anybody remember Dan’s Gallery of the Grotesque? That’s going back to the beginning of the internet, I think.
That was my first thought too. If so, I hope Dan can work through it and stay safe and sane.
