I can understand how deporting all the illegal farm workers at the same time would cause problems... but this is not what I'd want ultimately. The farmers can hire low-skilled Americans who need work, pay them a proper wage for such hard labor. I guarantee the applicants would come flooding in.

I am sure by the end of it all, all the illegals will be deported, but the execution will be done in such a way that it does not give the enemy the opportunity to sabotage agriculture - something they have been very keen on for a while.
I have a great solution actually because when I go to the Supermarket 90% of the food available are actually bad for us. We should only eat meat, protein, seafood, eggs. so I say open up or switch the crops to cow farms so we can all have the cheapest healthiest food in the world.
I’m guessing the rhetoric is running into the on the ground reality that there aren’t enough Americans to fill every job that needs filled. Even if they paid reasonable wages. Low skilled work or not.

We simply do not have enough Bodies to go around. Genociding Children for years in the name of Freedom and Liberty tends to have that effect.
Automation can offset shortages in manpower. Especially in the High-Turnover and labor intensive industries. But on its own it can’t completely replace the deficit in manpower. Not without embracing AI and further automation to a far greater extent than we do now. Which will be a tough sell given privacy concerns and the fact growing numbers of people are convincing themselves AI is Robo-Satan.
Take it for what it's worth, but I've voted for many presidents over the years, and most didn't meet 30% of their campaign rhetoric over their 4-8 years as president. Each time I've voted for Trump it's been different. Sure, he isn't 100% on his promises but he always comes up above 60% accomplished. I refuse to let perfect be the enemy of good. He is working, he does care and it shows. We're less than 8 months in and he's already made massive positive changes.
He's trying to seem reasonable to an audience that he will one day soon down the road, need to trust what he and the administration are going to say/do. CNBC is a liberal outlet for business media.
Not a popular opinion, Trump was in charge of USA during the Biden years, right? Ergo he let in all the illegals. This was necessary to show people that they eventually get affected by bad policies, even if they live in good neighbourhoods.
If Trump is going to succeed with bringing factories back, he’ll need a lot of workers, and he’ll need these workers to be willing to work hard and cheap so they are competitive on the world stage.

Never mix the lying MSM terms of 'migrants' or 'undocumented immigrants' with Illegal alien invaders. The USA HAS laws that allow 'migrants workers' and Immigrants to enter and work in the USA. It is the Lies of liberal/communism/MSM that pretends illegal aliens are Part of that legal entry to the USA.

Automation is already replacing them. Processing is the next place we need good automation.
