I was curious about the MS part of the name. Never watched cable news so never thought about it. But the MS stands for Microsoft for the partnership between Microsoft and NBC. Did not know that.

I knew that when the network first began. I started learning the meanings of initials over 50 years ago. BVD = Bradley Voorhees and Day. 3M = Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing. BMW = Bavarian Motor Works.
Ah, good work! Now I'm going to be curious at others I don't know and will have to start looking them up.
