I was talking about that with S.O. just yesterday. I commented it tastes like hospital food. And, coming from a small town, Ive noted that Sysco trucks go to the hospital, schools, jails and some of the restaurants. All tastes the same being all the same (coughs) food.
They literally do use sysco products. I've worked all over foodservice..from chain restaurants to hospitals to schools. They all use the same stuff.
About 18 yrs ago I quit McDonald's and went to work in a college kitchen where they used actual chicken McNuggets on the service line twice per month.
The hospital where I worked used actual McRib patties on their sandwiches.
Pulled truck duty for all, truck is sysco.
Nothing you get from fast food, hospital, or school is anything but sysco, loffredo, or American Foods corp. And...spoiler...they all share products too.
The players take a massive short position in CB stock, then run this logo psyop to drive the share price down. They cash in their short positions and then go long while the share price is down. It all blows over in two weeks, and the stock price returns to it's previous level. They sell again. It's a double dip cash move.
The USPS was bringing less money in so they eliminated window service positions (the people waiting on customers accepting money for services). Delivery service was waining so they combined routes requiring fewer delivery personnel. All the while creating upper level administrative management positions making in excess of $200,000. It looks like other companies like Cracker Barrel are following their business model.
Just came back from dining at Cracker Barrel tonight, it was not a good experience. The service was not good, we had to wait over 30 minutes after being seated to order and when the food finally come out of the kitchen (approximately another 30 minutes) it was lukewarm. Part of my dinner was a loaded baked potato and it was so cold that the cheese and butter couldn't "melt". It was awful. I will not be going back.
Someone who has worked in retail from the bottom and see the real issues with products, quality, customer service, they would understand the importance of integrity. Oh darn, just hire me instead!
The Corporate C. E. HO, has no clue about running a business properly. Like so many corporate restaurant chains the individual stores are run by morons with no managerial experience.
I literally just commented a few days ago about the portion sizes and food sucking. We no go to Black Bear Diner. If you have one by you give it a shot.
Hubby and I have only been to a CB one time. I had my meal comped for the first time ever for me. I could not eat it. Hubby would not eat it. The eggs were the worst eggs I've EVER had.. they messed up fried eggs!
Tbh they should just change the names of MOST chain restaurants to SYSCO. that's all they serve anyway. IYKYK.
Everything comes in #10 cans.

Customer Service the first thing to go...🤬

That's corporate drones for you.

Going down the same road as Bud Lite. Maybe ask them how the journey was.

I read your comment! I think we may have one near us! Thanks for the tip Nitro!
Definitely get at least a short stack of pancakes

That's hard to do!
For the last 25 years, we’ve referred to it as “crap in a barrel”
Objectively, the quality is not very high
Microwaved pre-prepared (gmo/bio-engineered) "food", like most chain restaurants
Kek!
Just traveled the country for a few months. Ate at lots of places and this issue is NOT unique to the crackhead barrel.
Every place I went had the problem.
Such a shame!

Even the gravy is dry. Decent coffee.
