Pretty blythe to condemn a business to ruin, taking all of its employees with it. The Boeing Company had to lay off 70% of its employees in 1970 upon dual government contract cancellations. It ruined the labor market throughout the Puget Sound and prompted a brain drain that took many years to refill.
