The owner sounds like he actually did the right thing. He talked to the individual, got the individual to acknowledge why what he did was wrong, and says he believes the individual does realize it and will change his behavior. The owner also said he will follow up with the young man and ensure he has, indeed, realized that immoral behavior. I feel the owner did act correctly in this. Read his replies. He’s trying to behave as Charlie would.
"I was appalled by people celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death. Now I am appalled by the abuse directed at me and my staff. It is a reflection of what polarization is doing to this country. We are losing the ability to talk to each other. We respond to disagreement with hate and dehumanization. We cancel instead of converse. That is a dangerous road.
If you disagree with my decision, I respect your choice not to support our business. Many did the same during COVID. But I am not motivated by money. I am motivated by my morals. I will not cave to the mob on either side. I will stand by my people, even when they stumble, and I will stand by the principle that conversation, not violence, not cancellation, not harassment, is what keeps us free.
My prayers are with Charlie’s wife and children. They deserve compassion, not mockery. And I hope all of us, no matter our politics, can pause and find some decency again."
Just my 2c for what its worth: The boss actually seems pretty based and seems to have taken a sensible and considered approach to dealing with his employees actions.
As one who feels really pulled on this, I agree. I do not know what this business does, but pretty sure their decisions won't kill you, like medical personnel or destroy the soul of an innocent like teachers. Like most things, the nuances matter.
Five on Black Kitchen and Spirit House is a restaurant offering a diverse menu with options for dinner, brunch, and date night, along with cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Mrs. Massacre appears to be a flaming leftist trying to create issues for the owner of Five on Black. She places herself outside the group: "Tom called y'all a 'mob'..." She does not include herself in the "mob" yet feels she has the right to tell others how to react to Tom and his business.
I read a ton of comments, and Tom Snyder responded well to all of them. He sounds a lot like CK. His comment, "Where does he take his hate next if he's fired?", was very well put.
Well tom. I never heard of your company until this twit you hired ran their mouth. You dont have to fire her. We all will just fire you and in time she will be where she belongs. Out of a job. Hows that cancel culture worki g out for you now. Libtards.
Don’t. Don’t do it. Don’t condemn a businessman who knows his staff and is willing to share a lesson not a kick to the teeth. I was saying the same thing. It’s easy with social media to be bullied by BOTH SIDES. Glad to see some common sense and Grace be applied not condemnation.

Agree.
He sounded base.

Thank you.
He does seem pretty reasonable.

Good catch.

That's b4 other employees do something to her.
"Motivated by morals"
Yeah the morals of demons.

This ain't a scene.

Exactly. LOL
How would Charlie respond to this?
I have no clue.
