This was NOT allowed when I was on active-duty! Troops were chaptered out for less. A LT I knew put himself in a sweat suit before the weigh in, but at least he was close enough to pass with water loss!
It shouldn’t be by weight. It should be by measurement. Example: for men the chest should be equal or larger than the waist.
Even though I had very little body fat, I always had to battle the weight limit due to all the muscle I had. For a while I would use my bicep size to meet the standard, then it was my neck size, then it changed to something else, but it didn’t matter because I was at the Pentagon and nobody checked.
I truly hope our military personnel will take this to heart and lose the weight. Further, I believe this should extend to police officers as well.
have all the mess halls serve good keto foods and keto snacks. bam, you watch how fast the pounds fall off.
Good idea. You should pass that along any channels you can. Give em meat; lots and lots of meat.
A clear sign that they stuff their faces and sit around.
I tend to agree with Hegseth about this.
Top brass were turned into political hacks instead of actual military commanders. Our rank and file in some cases do not fair much better.
This will be a less politically sensitive way to slim down a top heavy command structure. (In more ways than one.)

How long do they have to get in shape?
6-months? 3-months? 1 week?
Is there some time schedule, by which they either shape up or ship out?

Is that all that was covered? I wonder what may have occured behind closed doors.
Fitness standards seems like something that could've been ordered via a memo ;-)
