The U.S has generally been extremely lenient with how Journalists are treated when compared to the rest of the world. Not just recently but historically as well. Even during the war-time crackdowns on the press and Cold-War Commie-Hunts. So it doesnât surprise me in the slightest.
Weâve even established precedent under our current laws they even have license to legally lie and libel people. And itâs up to person they lied about to prove they knowingly and maliciously lied. If they want any hope of holding them accountable.
The fact Journalists are now treating fairly mundane and standard Security precautions across most of the world being implemented here as an assault on the press. Really demonstrates how not used they are to being told no.
This is a big deal. I just hope this stuff stays if âtheyâ ever get back in power again. With honest elections, we shouldnât have this problem again for a long long time. I would think.
NDAs and other legally binding agreements are also rapidly becoming standard as well. Not just for Senior staff but Juniors as well. Regardless of their posting
GOOD. Should have been that way from the start. Although I guess since most of the journalists are paid for by the government, making them actually government employees, that made sense.
It's honestly hard to believe that was ever allowed in the first place

Hope that includes the ones that work for the CIA as well.
As it once was.
