I think that, if you asked Jesus, he wouldn't want a statue to himself on the White House lawn.
Please notice that Jesus didn't make any statues of himself when he was alive. Jesus was a carpenter, and so were his family. Having a statue carved would have been simple if he wanted one. He didn't.
Jesus wouldn't have minded having the 10 commandments on the front lawn of White House. He always supported having public reminders like that.
Agreed, or what He said about the two greatest commandments:
Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets".
Guess who doesn't mind an IMAGE being made of himself:
Rev.13:14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to >>>make an image <<<to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
Agreed. I'm truly stunned by the number of people here who would oppose it.
Also;
Did you know that the only reason the Founders sought any sort of "separation of church & state" was NOT because they wanted to keep religion out of the government / country, but because each of the original 13 colonies / states already had their own state-sponsored official religion.
The Calvinists didn't want protestantism imposed on them by the feds, the Quakers didn't want Calvinism imposed on them, etc. They (generally) already lived in a state which already had an official state religion.

That’s a good suggestion. How do we get it to President Trump.

Wouldn't it be nice if all people would obey the two greatest commandments! Lot easier to follow than the Ten Commandments.
(one could say the Two are a summary of the Ten....
Exactly!

Honest question;
What about a cross?
What about an entire church?
What about a painting of Jesus?
I really like that idea instead of the proposed statue. The Law would be a great thing to have at our government buildings

THAT is why....!!!!!
Yes, I have learned that! Really makes you wonder why the "separation of church & state" lie was peddled and by who...
Oh I have my ideas, that's for sure.....
