Technically both yes and no. Due to quirks in Irelands current system.
It’s near impossible for anyone not a member of the main parties/Approved by them to get on the ballot. So a lot of people either didn’t vote. Or deliberately spoiled their ballots in protest
So it wasn’t stolen in that no one the system considered a threat could legitimately get on the ballot in the first place. Thusly there was no election to steal.
But simultaneously It was stolen in the fact that no one could legitimately get on the ballot in first place without the approval of the system in the first place. Thusly robbing the people of their choice
I read that's why Connor McGregor couldn't run - he couldn't get the signatures from the requisite number of party members (can't remember exactly what it was).
The Irish Republican movement was almost exclusively socialist. And the IRA was its Militant Arm.
Not exactly surprising why so many in Ireland are by extension dyed in the wool Socialists.
So the other choice now is forced removal of the chosen representative.
