Here's my best assessment right now of where I think the Mamdani timeline is going:
Stage 1. He wins the election, immediately implements disastrous policies. Normal non-extreme left Democrats realize they screwed up real bad and get that sinking feeling in their stomach that they voted for the wrong guy.
Stage 2. I give it a few months, maybe 6 tops. They're gonna let him make a mess of the place like pig rolling around in a sty for a little while and everyone is gonna make a big show out of how bad he is.

OOPS! Surprise, turns out foreign actors bankrolled his entire campaign and we have the receipts.
I'm willing to bet they have something on him, and they're gonna wait till after the election to pop the cork on it.
Final result: All the conservatives who already didn't like him are proven right, tons of Democrats who were fooled into voting for him get fed up and leave, continuing the trend of Democrats walking away from the party in droves. It ends with a big show of Trump coming in to clean up the corruption and save New York City.

Edit: Side note, if you haven't figured it out yet, Trump endorsing Cuomo is reverse psychology to boost Mamdani in furtherance of that psyop because Dems always reliably will do the opposite of what Trump says to do. Backing Cuomo over a Socialist allows him to appear moderate while still sabotaging Democrats.
Honestly this is the scary part of the movie because I agree he will get in. And his policies will be a slap in the face to the snoring Dems. How quickly this is resolved is the question! I would LOVE to hear my Dem family members who live in NYC complaining about him over the holidays. I’d love for them to wake up but I don’t want them to get hurt. Always my concern as the things run hot.
Close. Yes he will screw things up, but he will generally not deliver on the promises he campaigned on. He will siphon off money to his Muslim buddies. He will have several campaign finance violations. He will be part of the reason that Stefanik wins the governorship and then fires him. Afterwords he is deported, along with the family.
Agreed This could be the final nail in the democrats coffin.

Im thinks what will happen immediately after he is elected will be funneling funds to his Muslim buddies. Trump cuts him off and he starts using other things to funnel money to his buddies. Then a Watergate type investigation begins regarding all this fraud and he will need to step down or go to prison. Either way, nyc will finish his term with the assistant. Trump will ultimately come in to clean it up.
The question I have is when. Will it all happen fast pre midterms, or will it happen closer to 2028

I think the Dems will have no choice but to double and triple down on the choice of accepting Mamdani. If there's one thing the Dems loathe more than Trump or even Conservatism, it is accepting and admitting they are/were wrong. I don't know one Dem that can't admit when they've made a mistake or are just flat out wrong in any assumptions or beliefs. I have an extended family full of Southern Democrats, and even wh n they attempt to fact check me in real time, they NEVER concede and never admit when they're wrong, even when they're wrong about their assumptions of me. And they never apologize after hurting me. I actn ever remember a time in my life of any of my family apologizing to me for wronging me. It's always an excuse as to why I'm still wrong, or how I should just accept that Im at least partly to blame for their incorrect and almost always purposefully hurtful perceptions of me.
Reading this was painful. I listen to Dan radio style almost every night. Same thing – his family are Democrats. And he has frequently said that he has never encountered a Democrat who was able to admit that they were wrong about anything. And here are you saying the exact same thing. It’s mind blowing to me how deeply engulfed these people are in their lies. You have been hurt. I am so sorry. Praying God heals your heart.

You missed the phase where Mamdani and NYC denizens DEMAND a federal bailout for their bad decisions. The Trump administration refuses to bail out NYC. Liberal judges make rulings that are ignored. Liberal TV wonks cry onscreen because Trump won't bail out their mascot Socialist Utopia, now renamed "Wakanda."

Sounds about right. Before Q and before getting a clue about Trump and the plan, I would be in abject terror. I yawned and was encouraged by the 11-3 death of Cheney and Pelosie's 11-4 announcement.
I want to add two points to your list: First, Mamdani wins as a consequence of clear election fraud uniting New Yorkers with the MAGA agenda to clean up our elections. Second, (and I really love this one) immediately after the win they swap Mamdani out with someone who is clearly a different person.
