Besides nuclear war and/or a dangerous bio-weapon, soil erosion is something that needs to be addressed. Every year millions of tons of the best part of our topsoil float down our rivers and into our oceans. Farmers need to stop tilling their soil especially going into winter and hopefully switch to no-till planting in the spring.
Failure to do this will eventually create deserts in our heartland, widespread famine, and destruction of animals and the human race.
I am not so concerned about the tilling practices as I am about the development. Facebook bought 250 acres of prime farmland for just one of their projects. The windmills and solar farms also take out the farmland and once out, it can't be reclaimed. They are developing, and destroying some of our best farmland with factories, solar farms, and windmills.
