I will raise your compromised and blackmailed and raise you embedded controlled opposition to exert maximum controllability and or demoralization of actual opposition.
I can't speak for any time before because I didn't pay attention to mid-term stuff, but at least as far back as November 2010(that I personally remember), we've been giving these assclowns the keys to the kingdom (house, senate) several times over. Since 2016 we've given them (house, senate AND POTUS), yet Everytime they piss it away and allow Democrats to run rough shod and execute their own agenda. (R)s end up losing big-time the following cycle. Then they start "gearing up for the next......", where they tell us how important it is to acquire the House, Senate, yada yada, of which they again squander and piss away.
It was the TEA Party days when I realized where we truly stand. When Mitch McConnell said "the TEA Party needs a good punch in the nose", I couldn't understand, I thought we were on the same team. Nope.
Then Newt Gingrich resisted the TEA Party, the entire Republican Establishment seemed to want us to fail. I simply couldn't believe it. I expected that from (D)s not (R)s. My awakening to what "Establishment" really meant.
That betrayal was much more shocking to my psyche than any of the dastardly sh** that Dems were involved in.
I loathe traitors more than the open enemy.
Like you said, at least the Dems are Dems. They make no bones about what they are. They close ranks to protect eachother and if they want something, they savagely pursue it and shred anything that stand in their way.
When you stop and think about the parties, there are no differences. The Dems continually pull their shit, and the Republicans go right along with it. Both agendas are really the same, sad to say.
I was at the very first TEA Parties in Denver. Started out pretty legit. Resited the hijacking for a good bit, but then came the quid pro quo. There started being a thing we called "TEA Party elites", because they started taking it upon themselves to be the "voice" and meet with establishment types. The more they met with the est., the less we started seeing of them and the less they seemed to be in sync with our charter.
Pretty soon, you couldn't touch basis with them at the grass roots level anymore. They only talked to other "elitists". Started taking money, receiving favors, access to bigger names, hanging out only amongst themselves, etc. and it went straight off the rails.
Back when Antifa was still called Occupy........ And Denver was an Occupy hub. It was like Fight Club. They had members employed in every different type of business across the city. Cops, waiters, museum curators.....teachers/professors ...
We know who the rinos are. The all try hiding but these days there is no masking your position in anonymity any longer. I am a neutral observer on these interaction. I want to see what they are really pushing for. It is never what appears obvious on the surface. The stuff most react emotionally too. Spot those manipulations and throw them off.
You know, now that I think about it, we've always been in a perpetual fight with the GOP to simply follow the tenets and execute the will of their constituents. Rarely have they ever come through. The TEA Party couldn't even compel the GOP to do the right thing, even with having a party-sized voice.
I'm going to have to slightly disagree with that. The Republican party is not great, they are all traitors, more loathsome than the Dems.
Its the REPUBLICAN party who have actually betrayed The People. They're useless and feckless. Not one redeemable.
I'll take your useless and feckless and raise you compromised and blackmailed as a side bet JM357.
Ok, I fold. You win. 👍
I will raise your compromised and blackmailed and raise you embedded controlled opposition to exert maximum controllability and or demoralization of actual opposition.
At least the democrats show you who they are- the rinos hide and lie and slither like snakes. They never do a damn thing to fix anything!

They infiltrated the leadership of the TEA party and then moved anyone in it up the list of "who to screw over next". Bastards.

Incredibly funny line, so relatable.
Yes! That exactly! They ALL need to go too. Deport their asses with the illegal invaders.
