He is not a veteran or comander and chief. Puting a flag on his coffin would be disrespectful to the great men who gave their lives for this country.

That is misinformation. The American flag was draped when he was taken out of the hearse and again when he was leaving the cathedral and returned to the hearse. The other cloth during the funeral ceremony is draped over the casket during the funeral service.
