Years ago my mother and I had my sister's looser boyfriend from Costa Rica deported. She had a track record of picking looser boyfriends, but this guy was the worst. He was going to get her injured, arrested, or killed. He was involved in trafficking drugs and many other disgusting unsavory personal activities. One of his favorites was getting photos of people in very compromising situations. No doubt for future arm twisting.
My sister was completely blinded to who this guy was. He brainwashed her and he was turning her against her own family. Typical MO for abusers. My nephew was only about 2 years old at the time and was being exposed to this guy's life style and crazy ideas. Talking to my sister didn't seem to make a difference. So for my sister's life, and for my nephew's, we decided that we needed to do something.
First some history: The boyfriend's mother was well connected in the Costa Rican government. This guy was smart and no lightweight operator. In fact, he was very well connected, educated, and well spoken. He grew up privileged as compared to the average Costa Rican. He was in the US on a student visa that seemed to always be renewed even though he was not in college. This "student," instead of being in a classroom, was trafficking bricks of cocaine.
Unlike others in that "occupation," he was not flashy throwing money around. So, he was able to keep a low profile and fly under the radar not attracting attention. My sister was even paying for this guy's support. She worked and was not on any government assistance. Not sure what he did with all the money he made. He certainly didn't give any to my sister. Not the first time hearing of an American single mom supporting some scumbag foreigner - but usually it's on the taxpayer dime. So from the outside, he looked like some struggling foreign student. Perfect cover for the liberal bleeding hearts.
His larger scale operations never took place where he lived. There was usually some bogus shell company front business. Any transactions at his home were always very small quantities in comparison to avoid trafficking charges. He had a history of a few smaller possession charges that he always seemed to beat. This guy appeared almost untouchable. Every time he was arrested he managed to walk.
My sister's apartment once was raided by a SWAT drug enforcement task force. A huge deal. Snippers on the rooftops and guns drawn. The boyfriend was not there at the time. LE was stupid and tried to frame this guy using an inside informant that planted a brick under my nephew's bed. The only ones there at the time were my sister, my nephew, and the informant. Like I already said, this guy never moved large quantities out of his home and he never told my sister about his operations keeping her out of the loop. So why the set up? My only guess is that after a couple years of investigation they basically had nothing and had to give account to some higher ups for the time and money wasted on this case. Therefore, the geniuses decided they were going to push the investigation along themselves. It all ended up blowing up in their faces. My sister's boyfriend walked, an internal LE investigation was initiated, and my sister's home was destroyed from a bogus search in addition to the trauma of a LE raid. I saw the aftermath. Her place was wrecked. Then she was evicted.
The risk went beyond just LE. Another place my sister lived had the front door kicked in from some deal gone bad. This guy did not keep good company. My mother and I were terrified for the safety of my sister and my nephew.
This scumbag finally ended up fatally shooting somebody and was arrested. My understanding is that there was a confrontation that involved the wife of the guy that was shot. No doubt my sister's deviant boyfriend was messing around with the guy's wife. Not surprising. He had brainwashed my sister into thinking "open relationships" were a good thing. But the openness only seemed to flow one way. Rules for thee but not for me.
Early on in the legal process he fired his attorney and started to represent himself in court. Not only did the court approve the move, but the final outcome was a first in Orange County CA Superior Court history. His case was the first time an acquittal was achieved by a defendant representing themselves in a capital case. This was back in the 80's and the tide towards lawless liberal leaning courts in CA had already begun. The jury found him innocent and deemed it self defense. The boyfriend was the only one in the confrontation that had a weapon. Total BS. We thought for sure he would be locked away and our worries would be over for the most part. But, after everything this guy had done it didn't appear that the justice system was going to take this guy off the streets. He only become more brazen.
Right before the boyfriend was due to be released, my mother and I both made separate calls to Immigration and reported him as an undesirable. Duh! Anyway, Immigration revoked his visa and picked him up on his way out of the jail and he was deported. They banned him from reentry. We never told my sister that we were responsible. As long as he was gone, that was all that mattered. See something, say something. Sometimes it works.
Thanks. I am too. Things were not looking good. Those phone calls were about all we had left - and it got the job done. Thank God. Someone had to take out the trash. She is now alone - which is just fine since she definitely doesn't know how to pick um. She is much better on her own anyway and much happier.
Major kek.
That is a good dad.

Glad it worked out, hope your sister is doing better now.

She’s not alone. She has family. That’s all she needs.
In the end, it is usually only family that really has your back.
Truer words have never been spoken.
Hilarious but it's probably fake
I am not so sure. I have done the same thing. Read my post below.
She’ll love her dad so much…in a few days.
Dad of the year award
sad if true, Rip that family relationship
Kek 😂
