The fact that Act Blue hasn't been taken down, and all the leaders involved jailed for defrauding the public with phoney donations coming from who knows where, is a testament that something stinks very badly in our justice system. How has this group not been taken down yet? I cannot figure this out...
It's called "smurfing". Christopher Gleason and Peter Bernegger have posted lots of their research on X about it. James O'Keefe got the information from Chris Gleason, I believe; and then did his own follow-up.
Act Blue is a sleazy organization, as you'd expect. Before my retirement, I worked for A Large Eastern University (tm). And at election time, I was getting constant emails from AB, wanting money for their holy left-wing crusade. All of them were sent to -- and forwarded from -- my old .EDU email account, which I haven't actually used for over ten years. Apparently, the geniuses at AB assume that anyone with an EDU email has to be a student, ready to part with Mommy and Daddy's money for a "progressive" cause.
I got tons of emails at work from a Gmail account attached to an Indian fundraiser for the Democrats based out of California asking for donations to Joe Biden back in 2020.
Reported them as spam but our IT department never blocked them.
I've seen people talk about this on left-wing sites.
They make a bunch of minimum amount donations to Democrat campaigns with your name and info. This gets you on a donor list and you will get hounded for more and more donations to these and other campaigns.
They think it is funny to try to annoy you by causing you to get a bunch of spam/junk email and regular mail from Democrat causes.
I have gmail. I listed someone as an account recovery contact. Right after I did that, the person began receiving Democrat solicitations for money ADDRESSED TO ME. They have to have gotten it from gmail.
Some foreign, pre-paid cards allow you to use whatever name and address you like. If the donation card processor is not confirming that the card is American, then anything goes.
In the UAE, foreign currency exchanges offer prepaid travel cards. If you DO NOT pay the extra fee and wait several days to have a card with your name prepared, you get a card from stock that has the name of the exchange, and for online purchases, enter whatever name you like. Because there is no postal mail delivery in Gulf countries, addresses are not a big deal, and you can enter that as desired.
American political campaign payment processors should be banning non-American cards from being used to donate.

They still have money sauces. That's why.
Have you seen the Planned Parenthood commercials. They are now desperate.
Desperate maybe, but not out of money, tv ads are not cheap
Oh yeah, desperate and stupid.
James O'Keefe exposed them several years back. If you check, can you tell me how?
Thank you so much.

They spam whichever emails they're allowed to.

Oh, so they set up those university as a brain-wash camp. Now you understand we have been right.

Oh yes. I donated to Trump b4 and I got spammed also.

Hopefully in the pipeline of crimes to be prosecuted.
Come slowly, too slow for me.

Damn. How does that work?

Great to know. I did not know that because I generally take cash and use their exchanges. I need card, I used my own cc.
How do you think Democrats get elected, Matt?
CHEAT?
more and more egregious every election
Amazing isn't it?
