Isn't this just joining BRICS? BRICS+ also has Brazil, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and they aren't going to be left out completely. I think we should be cautious about believing China, India and Russia will negotiate separately, and it would give them a lot more power to have two independent groups to play off of.
The real play should be to use this to negotiate with a severely weakened Europe, UK, Canada and Australia.
