The Mohawks of Akwesasne have been, due to their unique geographical, political and historical situation, at the heart of drug and gun, and now human, smuggling for decades and decades, refusing any help or cooperation from both provincial governments, because of "muh jurisdiction" and plain old resentment. Their leaders and politicians are and have been for a long time as crooked as 3 dollar bills. They only whine and complain now, posing as victims, because the cartel are taking control away from them.
Honestly, I don’t have a high opinion of First Nations. That being said, they do tend to get uppity when their reservations get infringed upon. This may very well be a self-correcting problem if it gets to the point of them taking direct action. Similar to the residential schools I doubt any bodies would be found.
However and this is the sticking point, if the cartels are paying the natives to cross their land then it’s all moot. Native pride and principles go straight out the window when money is concerned.
Can we erase the cartels already?

He was defending the Tribal people operating tribal casinos from being strong armed by the Italian mafia. Today, we have the Mexican cartels posting up on our reservations and intimidating our tribal council leaders. We are on own own. Tribal police are powerless.
The cartels have become severely inbedded in a number of northern Indian reservations.
The FBI hasn't been doing nearly enough work with local tribes to stop this.
So he’s essentially dealing with what Rural American Law Enforcement Agencies. Particularly along border areas have been dealing with.
Increasing levels of crime they aren’t equipped to handle. And unlike in the U.S they can’t call up support from State and Federal Government. As the mechanisms to do so. Never really existed for them.
That is also how they smuggle cigarettes in to avoid fereal taxes as well. Injuns aint our friends...

Canada has no law enforcement capacity whatsoever nor ability to deport or mobilize the armed forces because the Army is barely 500 non-able bodied men, all their equipment was wasted in the Ukraine and the judicial system pig judges might aswell operate a revolving door on every courthouse. Its a truly lawless country where only white people pretend to follow the rules.
