What does Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Syria and Venezuela have to sell? Oil & Gas. What happens when oil & gas is a low-value commodity barely worth extracting and refining and transport... because energy is available to replace it?
Iran, Iraq, Qatar, UAE, etc... become water-poor deserts and dry barren countries that cannot feed themselves and with nothing to sell.
What happens to Israel, when all their Eastern Mediterranean oil & gas fields and the oil & gas under the Golan Heights become too costly to extract, not worth installing pipelines... and worthless? Does israel's future worth decrease?
With unlimited energy , comes all the water you want. Either by movement or by desalinization. They could even use their cheap oil/gas for energy if they had to. (so 20th century though)

The exact thing that should happen. They will either be smart and find a new way to contribute to mankind or go back to tribal warfare.
If I was them, I’d focus on desalination… water is much more useful for humans than oil.
