My mother imigrated here from sweden, and they had to have a sponsor, that guaranteed to help them. If they lost their job or whatever. The law was changed in the 60's I belive.
You cut off the free stuff to illegals and all foreigners and you create a mass exodus from the USA, lower housing costs, lower food costs, lower fuel costs, more employment opportunities -----is there a down side to this idea?
When the majority of people on the welfare system and rental assistance get cut back, I believe there will be plenty of laborers. Wages should increase also.
I can attest to that. Even with the new Food Stamp changes, they have found ways to circumvent them. Work is a four-letter word to them. They will spend hours trying to create "justifications" for why they can't or shouldn't work. Now the "in home child care attestations" start. It's funny when we look into the children they are caring for; it's for other welfare recipients who do not work. Why the hell do they need child care and how are they "paying" for child care if they have no money?
But welfare workers are NOT ALLOWED to ask this up front. We are supposed to accept everything they say, unless it is "questionable". Hell, 90 % of the applications the Welfare office processes are "questionable".
Thanks to the bullshit rules Shapiro has in place. We have to accept their lies and only AFTER they receive benefits can we refer them to OIG to investigate. Even if they are found to be lying, they can still re-apply and tell a new lie to qualify, which starts the bullshit run around all over again!
And the haters and doomers will never count those as deportations, thus continuing to hate and doom about Trump not deporting as many as he said he would.
Even those subsidized temporary worker that can work for next to nothing because their real employer is the US guy or gal working right next to them in the shop.
I feel LEGAL immigrants ay need some help. Certainly not more than a Vet or someone on Social Security. They should be under supervision, working and being a useful port of society or they are OUT.
It's about friggen time! Permanent residents get here and IMMEDIATELY apply for food stamps and Medicaid. While technically the adults aren't eligible for food stamps for 5 years, they bring a shit load of kids that are immediately eligible for food stamps and Medicaid. No questions asked if they are their children or someone else's! We don't ask for birth certificates, BUT our government IMMEDIATELY gives them a work authorization! What friggen 5 year old needs a work authorization?!
I mean, this sounds great.... but what's next?
"Raping is illegal for non citizens act."
"Murdering not a right for non citizens act."
Why do we even have to have some "legislation" for this at all? It SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GIVEN that non citizens cannot get any "benefits" from our government. Being allowed to even be on this land is a privilege if you're not a citizen, it's not a right.
Of course everything is satanic/backwards/upside down now...... so it makes sense that we'd do some hand waving political theater to show everyone how helpful this is..... to have a new act to prevent fraud from foreigners.
I swear this country has become retarded..... you know people will be applauding this like it's "progress". To me it's a sign of severe regression.... that fact that this is something to parade rather than quietly put BACK in place (because it should have always been the case that non-citizens do not get benefits).
Excellent.
But they need to caveat this to include recent “citizens”. Anyone who arrived in the past 40 years and never worked, gone.
Wow. 40 years? I like that.
Make it 60
Make it 160 so the dead ones stop cashing checks and voting.
Since the law was changed in the 60's.

Amen!

You might have some jobs that need longer to fulfilled but train the younger generation to take over those work. Home Depot is already doing that.

If they still know how to do anything. Long term welfare collectors don't know how to do shit.
Teach a man to fish! If they don't go to a training center to learn a skill, cut the funds completely. Sometimes you have to have hard love.

I think something has to change. Make the rules where welfare only last 2 years for anyone.
And the haters and doomers will never count those as deportations, thus continuing to hate and doom about Trump not deporting as many as he said he would.
Haters gonna hate.
Haters are shills sent to divide MAGA. Know your enemy!
Even those subsidized temporary worker that can work for next to nothing because their real employer is the US guy or gal working right next to them in the shop.
Key word, work.
How about the “No Welfare Act”?
Some people need a little bit of help, but yeah, 2 years at the most.
I feel LEGAL immigrants ay need some help. Certainly not more than a Vet or someone on Social Security. They should be under supervision, working and being a useful port of society or they are OUT.
Nope, zero tolerance. They can survive on charity if need be.
NO taxpayer assistance.
You are nice.
Asphyxition? Howls.
Every single illegal and every non-skilled non-marriage legal citizen from the past 30 years needs to leave.
Good idea
Well there goes almost ALL of our permanent residents! Please God, make it so!
Randy Fine 🤮
He seems fine.

I hope DOGE can come up with some way to determine all this.
But I thought the left said they don't get welfare.
