That's horrible! Even so, the absolute scale is so small (how many Greenlanders are there in total, and of those how many move to Denmark to give birth?) that I don't think it figures on the scale. Good find though, and ... that's awful. I know the U.S. did it to a lot of native tribes, though.

Greenlanders were danes technically, but yeah, this looks like a fairly isolated case, enough to make global news. The Greenland government said only 6 children in history of the country were removed due to these assessments and three were her kids. I couldn't find the others, only that it was around 20 years ago and happened in the same month, the kids may have been triplets, it's hard to tell.
I did some research into Keira Kronvold and the stuff I saw said she had the mental capacity and language skills of a seven year old and was also an alcoholic - enough so that she was no longer allowed to drink in Denmark due to a judge's ruling, which seems to be why she moved back to Greenland.
I don't think this case is a good indicator of anything.
