Article explains that the Nazis had an interest in Antarctica for deep occult practices. After WWII, the US began Operation Highjump there, with Admiral Byrd nominally heading it. It's rumored that the Nazis were involved in "unspeakable horrors" down there. (I recently saw a program about Byrd and how when he finally came back from his mission in Antarctica he was never the same.)

If you listen to Cliff High (I did several years ago) he says that there is a portal to the center of the earth in Antarctica where underground aliens live. (Not saying I agree with this!)
