No, it is because you are all a bunch of hacks, liars, activist, propagandists! If they had been actual journalists and reported factual news without injecting their personal interpretation, they'd be huge right now. Instead, the people had to find that with independents.
I haven’t heard claims that Bezos killed the Wa Post. Savvy people claim the opposite: that Bezos kept the Post alive for too long. It was a dying medium and Bezos bought it not to make the Post profitable, but to use it as a tool or business expense to make Amazon profitable. For example, during the sniffles lockdown hoax, the Post hyped up how a 99.98% survivable illness similar to the cold or flu was actually such a threat that people couldn’t go to physical stores anymore and should order from Amazon instead. Bezos might’ve lost millions on the Post but Amazon made billions from the covid hoax. A few months later, the Post willingly miscategorized George Floyd’s voluntary fentanyl overdose as police brutality, spurring on the excuses for store burning and looting, and leaving even more market share for Amazon. Rumor had it that Amazon delivered the seemingly random pallets of bricks in the streets used to break store windows.
Recently one of my friends was complaining about the near-constant presence of Amazon trucks in his neighborhood. It got me thinking about how these business “elites” love to socialize their operating expenses while privatizing their profits. Years ago I made the case that roads should be paid for per usage: take the usage rate for the vehicle class or gross vehicle weight and multiply it by the number of miles driven during that year and you get a fair road usage fee that is proportional to the stress applied to public infrastructure. These Amazon trucks are making billions while creating potholes, strain on overpasses and bridges, and traffic jams by double-parking, and the taxpayers have to pay for all that infrastructure maintenance. Detach Amazon from political influence so that they can pay for what they take from all of us.
True. The internet and social media gave this small gap in time where the people were actual able to bypass these clowns in america operations. But you better believe they are trying to fix that mistake as quickly as possible. (Not by reviving MSM, but paid shills posing as independents a la mockingbird) I doubt we will ever see a more free time for journalism than the last decade, and it's fading fast.
Based on reports from February 4–5, 2026, The Washington Post announced massive, sweeping layoffs that represent a reduction of one-third (about 30-33%) of its staff.
Many subscribed to the behemoth pile of newsprint (Sunday edition) for the coupons and sales announcements (how else would you find out about Woodie's warehouse sale or blue dot sales? Or Hecht's red dot sales?)
I was one of the few people I knew who actually read the editorial page and letters to the editor. Loved Herblock)
