She wants State ID at polls to be enough, and not Birth Certificates or Passports. Still needed to register to vote though.

Maine is an awful place to live now. I want out. The bills they are pushing through take away more and more rights and get absolutely no attention.

Having penalties spelled out in the text of the law helps.
No penalties = no reason to follow the law.

I read your post after I posted mine. I certainly hope that is not the case-if Trump wants citizens voting then I think he will see through the "smoke-screen" if Susan Collins is doing something stupid like that (at least I hope so).
