Let's not blame the founding fathers. Let's blame the modern day politicians who have warped the founding fathers ideals into their own filthy, self serving unconstitutional death blows to our country and way of life.
We all know it's not working as it's supposed to be but the only people who can change it are profiting of it.
Well and also, back then going to Washington to serve wasn't a career. It was probably unconscionable that anyone would do that as their primary vocation and never return to their regular life. They had the same attitude toward the bill of rights. The people who were against including it weren't against the rights, they just thought it was dumb to include them because those rights were so obvious that they didn't need to be spelled out. Glad that arrogance didn't rule the day.
