If you have a parent available to do it, homeschooling is WAY more efficient than Libnut School. What takes them 7 hours a day took us 2-3 at home, covering MUCH more material than they did. Also you can still cover the 'socializing' aspect by getting your kids into activities, sports and homeschooling groups that often do a TON of stuff. Both my kids got into college with full tuition scholarships so I believe there was no dropoff in the quality of their education either.
We're brainwashed that government-run schooling is necessary. Now obviously if both parents work you do what you have to do.
Maybe I'm a jerk, but I think the majority of women should be home with the kids. Women in the workforce has shook up everything. They want us to believe we should get married, both parents work. Bring in at least 150k combined, celebrate, and let strangers watch the kids through adulthood, feed the kids junk, garbage their minds with propaganda, and wonder why they turn into shitty adults.
If you're a jerk, I'm a jerk too (and a super problematic one because I am a lady, dang it!). Marxists have been able to do the damage they've done by convincing women that
Children are a burden
Home making is not a fulfilling role
Women have spent thousands of years chained at home and completely miserable because of "muh patriarchy".
All three are a lie that requires a Year Zero retooling of history to be swallowed.
I couldn't agree with you more. I stayed home and raised three beautiful children. When the youngest turned 13, our finances were not great.so I started my career and worked for 30 years at a job I loved. I'm newly retired. My favorite job ever was at-home mom. I wouldn't trade that experience for all the money in the world. I have a million memories from when I was "barefoot and pregnant"
A woman's dream, and a mother's responsibility are not one and the same. Likewise the father. When you have children, your personal dreams are put aside, all your attention is towards your children. " HE THAT DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF HIS OWN IS WORSE THAN AN INFIDEL" (1 Timothy 5:8) The better part of this generation, think they know better than God, their lives are a disaster, and they're baffled as to why.
You are not wrong...as you already know was done to dismantle the nuclear family. Done with the promise of things they couldn't obtain without two working adults and then get them addicted to keeping up with the Jone's to satisfy those desires...then add women empowerment and you have the perfect storm.
You are not wrong fren; the world would be a better place if only the Father of each household could work but the system is set up that it takes two for most individuals to make enough to satisfy their desires and even then they are still a slave to the system with only a taste to keep them coming for more.
Absolutely true. Kids who are homeschooled can finish their work much more quickly and efficiently, leaving them room for enrichment or field trips or just…time.
Yes. One reason is because you're teaching at the speed of the child, not the speed of the stupidest person in the room. Once they reach a certain age, they are capable of taking care of their own learning process with only a bit of oversight. Most original schools when our country was founded put all of the kids in one big room, and they all learned at their own speed , not what their "age appropriate grade" told them to learn . Many people have warped ideas about what homeschooling is, and have no idea of the number of field trips and sports activities that are organized plus the number of field trips the parent can create on their own while teaching particular subjects. So happy to see so many more kids getting home schooled these days! I did it 27 years ago when it wasn't particularly popular.
My Wife and I were incapable of having kids, but if we had, I think that pod schooling would be a good way to go. A small group of home schoolers pool their resources and either teach themselves, or hire tutors in specific subjects to teach.

Should be more up votes. The definition of jerk nowadays is someone with common sense.
I'm more than willing to be the jerk. I'm not trying to stomp out any woman's dreams, but I'm confident we were better off doing things the old way.

No you’re not. You are how every human operated for thousands of years.

Oh I'm aware. They're the reason for the feminism that took us down this path.

Lots more time to exercise and play. Very important

I know several homeschool kids and they are wonderful and intelligent adults.

Lots of recess for the boys to keep them sane.
