This is a CHILD. He has no idea what he just did. He has no concept of the damage he has done. He was totally in a child state of mind Not in an adult state of mind. Article says “adopted” which means we have no idea how he grew up. Is he beyond redemption at age 11? Maybe? Look of fear in his face, the realization and grief will determine more in the coming weeks and months. Poor kid, poor dad and poor family. This is a terrible loss.
I think their overall worldview and the level of discipline in their life trumps any video game influence.
Also, it mentions Nintendo Switch and generally speaking games made for the Nintendo platform are mostly non-violent games. I’m there are still some though. While gamers come in all ages, Nintendo still markets mostly to kids over adults.
Edit: In opinion 10+ year olds should already understand right and wrong along with life and death concepts. As others have stated he was adopted so who knows the level of parenting he has been given so far.
I fostered golden/german shepherd, Pit, 2 little Mexico dogs (hard when they understand Spanish), 1 Husky, 1 Dingo, 1 Rottweiler, 1 Dobby. Right now I can only remember that many. There's probably more.
Well aren’t you a complete self centered “cuck” whatever that means. I am so glad my husband didn’t feel that way nor myself when we both brought children into a marriage. The love we would have lost, the strength in family that would not have been there now as they are both strong, men and our daughter a beautiful wife and mother. Boys will be awesome fathers because one man dared take on the task of a blended family. He sits beside me as I write this. God blessed us with him. This generation of no fathers in the home has greatly affected your mindset. Remember Joseph the carpenter- raised Jesus.
Did he get a chance save his progress first?
Hopefully he won't get out until 40.
Wasted lives.
Taken over by demons
There is just something about people/kids with those low set ears!
So crazy
It’s been reported that this boy has autism
I am sure.

This is what happens when you allow children to play violent video games, any form of violence. It just normalises it to them.
They have no concept of death, also due to video games. It’s horrifying.

I would rather foster a dog (which I have many times). They don't kill you.
