My first thoughts as well. Poor guy lol. Body language tough to read from the back but President Trump almost looked dismissive of him.
I wonder if that Marine will/has been reprimanded by his commanding officer for breaking protocol by letting down his salute to the President to accept the coin. I wouldn't be surprised IF his CO were a libtard.
Zero chance. Plus - those types of people don't make it into leadership for these types of units under a Patriot. WAY too visible to get away with that crap.

I had a neighbor and good friend that was in the Presidential Honor Guard. The stuff they went through, and the things they had to do - it was borderline crazy.
Maybe POTUS said "at ease"? Just spitballing as I don't know military protocol.
