That is a great idea. I don't know if he would be able to be confirmed by the idiots in the Senate though. The dems would focus on his affair and the bogus charges the autopen admin hit him with. and the RINOs would probably vote with them. Paxton would crush it though.
It still pisses me off that Wesley Hunt stayed in the race when it was crystal clear he could not win. If Hunt had dropped out before voting started it is very possible his votes would've generally gone to Paxton - and there wouldn't even be a runoff. This race is extremely important. If Cornyn somehow wins the runoff we are stuck with him another 6 years, and don't forget he wanted to be majority leader. He also likely won't run again, so he would have 6 years of not caring what Trump (or whoever the next POTUS will be) wants for the country.
Couldn't agree with you more. The Senate would likely not confirm him, but maybe an interim temporary position similar to M. Whitaker in 2018. This is a huge part of what is wrong with the way our political process functions. Would like to throw most of them out and start over. By design the political class keeps its citizens too busy working, poorly educated or being entertained to care or understand what shenanigans they are up to in the government. Uneducated voting and non voters have helped to create the mess we are in today.
