President Donald Trump wants to see the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote, on his desk before he makes an endorsement in the Texas Senate race.
Trump delivered his message to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) on Friday in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.

And on Texas GOP Senate race, President Trump said he will make a “decision fairly shortly” but that he wants “to have the full and complete Save America Act (which Includes trans issues now) “We have to have voter ID. We have to have proof of citizenship We have to have no mail in ballots except the military, illness, disability and travel.
We have to have no men in women’s sports — I added two things, and we have to have no transgender operations for youth.”
Trump announced Wednesday he would soon make an endorsement in the runoff and called for whoever does not get his nod to drop out immediately. But Paxton said he would not drop out even if Cornyn gets the president’s coveted endorsement, to which Trump responded, “Well, that’s bad for him to say,” in a Thursday interview with Politico.

If Trump ends up endorsing Cornyn there are a LOT of Texans that won't go to the runoff. Cornyn will lose the general if Ken drops out. We Texans need to keep Ken in the race.
People will say if we don't show up we will get a democrat senator. News flash - we have one now. They say Trump will be impeached and then convicted in the Senate if Cornyn loses. Well - remember what Cornyn said for the Presidential Election this time? "President Trump's time has passed him by." He and the rest of leadership would convict him in a heartbeat this time around.
I hope Trump is just alluding to support for Cornyn to make sure the Save America Act is passed, and will ultimately support Paxton.
Paxton can't stay for another term as Texas AG because he wasn't on the ballot for that role. The Republican candidate for AG will be either Chip Roy or Mayes Middleton depending on who wins the runoff in May.

Tbh I’m a Texas voter and Trump endorsing Cornyn would not make me go out and vote for Cornyn. I’m already planning to leave it blank for Abbott, because my days of voting for RINO traitors just because they have an R next to their names are over. I’ve voted for both Abbott and Cornyn in the past and both have deeply betrayed me. Abbott talks a big game but then absolutely flooded our state with Muslims and Indians. I see more Muslims in any given day in Houston than I ever saw in my time in NYC.

I think you're wrong. Both of them realize how big that would be for them. If he endorsed Ken he would win hands-down. Even with ballot interference (that is still going on in Wilco).
If Trump endorses Cornyn it is gonna confuse a ton of Texans since Cornyn is a big-time RINO and often votes against us. Take red flag laws. He says he doesn't support mandating them, but he supports providing federal funding to states that already have them or vote to have them. That's like saying he doesn't support mandating euthanasia but he will gladly send federal money to a state that allows it so they can kill people at will for free. He is scum, and more Texans see it every day.
