There’s the Republican guard, holding normal Iranian citizens hostage in their homes with tanks and other weapons—with apparently shoot to kill orders for anyone on the streets. They need to be eliminated, as has been threatened (give up and you’ll have amnesty—don’t and you’ll be killed—paraphrase of PDJT)
Sometimes I think what it would be like if we could do this in the US. Many of the games played by the various politicians and politically appointed would end quickly if we just blew them up like we seem freely able to do in other countries. The devils in our own country and far worse because they are the ones orchestrating the corruption in other countries.

Tanks are easy targets.
Estimate of ~1600 tanks. Civilians all around. Messy. Looks bad—killing civilians! Not impossible, but super-surgical. Maybe Rods of “God”?
One thing the air force is good at is killing tanks. If they move they die.
