Yes. The rails are in place and it is starting. I guess there are opportunities to get rich if you buy other currencies. $1.00 USD is a couple thousand whatever currency is undervalued in a specific country. When it gets revalued, 1 to 1 you made a profit when you sell.
So how does one buy other currencies? Just exchange money and have an account in that country to put that money in? Couldn't that country end up seizing such bank accounts if you go with the wrong country? Any insight on safe(r) ones?

I have not ever done it. I read about it on X. You might ask an investor.
