So... there I was just a minding my own bidness, reading CatsFive's post about "financial stuff" This one .. and I got to the part where it discussed Demarco, old ledgers tracking gold, and it mentioned "M1 gold", so in an effort to find out more, the Google AI Twat spit this out... and I tried not to spit out my covfefe onto the keyboard:
Based on the search results, "The M1 files gold" most likely refers to the legal battle and resulting records regarding an FBI search for Civil War-era gold in Pennsylvania.
Say WHAAAT?
Key Facts on the Dents Run FBI Gold Case:
The Search: The FBI was accused of searching for and finding a large cache of buried Civil War-era gold in Dents Run, Pennsylvania, in 2018, but failing to report it or stealing it.
The Files (Documents): A federal judge ordered the release of records (files) related to this dig after a lawsuit from treasure hunters (Finders Keepers) who claimed the FBI engaged in a coverup.
The Findings: An FBI affidavit unsealed in 2021 revealed that a contractor detected an underground mass with the density of gold that weighed up to nine tons. However, the FBI maintained they found nothing.
Ongoing Dispute: Treasure hunters continue to pursue legal action against the Justice Department and FBI, claiming the released files prove the government is covering up the results of the excavation.
Now, I never heard about this before today. Apparently, this was so big that the write up that Popular Mechanics did about it was YUGE... So I apologize if this is one of those, "What? You never heard about this before? You been living under a rock?", moments...
Here's one video of many HERE describing the events that took place.
The treasure hunters were scoping out and surveying the site since around 2010, including doing some ground penetrating radar and other things that all pointed to a substantial volume of metal under the ground.
I thought it was interesting & thought maybe others never heard of it either.
Could you imagine finding 7 to 9 TONS of gold and silver valued at $600 million?
I sure as hell would have handled things a bit differently...You?
This is why you never report anything you find. Rarely does it end well for the finder. Nice thing about gold is it melts down and removes all the old markings and you'll still get spot price.
yup. people cant keep their mouths closed.
I read a story recently where a diver found a shipwreck full of gold.
TPTB wanted to seize it of course but the guy wouldn't tell them where it was. They threw him in jail but he still refused, for 10 years!
I think he got out very recently. I would bet he has his own dedicated satellite following him around 24/7, in case he goes to grab some gold. That's probably why they let him out. Kek.
Guess that's a better fate than the story I read about the guy never getting out to find his treasure. Died trying to tunnel out of a French prison.
Château d'If?
Yeah that's the one!
I had never heard about this— thanks for sharing :)
Less talking and more digging would have been a good strategy.

I saw it on Josh Gates Investigates | Expedition Files on Discovery Channel
I'm familiar with it,lots of videos out on the fukery.
I knew about this too, but the last time I read about it…it was a seemingly disparaging rant about the treasure hunters, how they never found anything, but were suing the feds for confiscation.
I don’t know why you would notify the Feds first either… anyway… I’ll look more into the sources and see if I can find the sauce.
Yeah no shit...
Like...if you knew via instruments that there was something BIG there, I'd be digging that shit at night by hand! Dude! I just GOTTA know... right now!
Yanno?

I have one for you. Cree and Sioux attacked fort. 6 men rode out with a wagon full of gold and silver and hid it outside somewhere. They returned 6 hours later. All was killed in action. Gold never recovered. I live just down road from old fort but to poor to go look. Would be sweet :)
interesting discovery!
what do they look next to recover this, Comey’s back yard, buried with No Name?
There will be more in the news soon about "Treasure" in the near future, watch for Frog eggs in pictures, video and text.
Ripley believes it....

I have followd this for decades before the discovery. From what I know, the feds did what the feds are best at. Stealing.
True...
