I'll give my perspective as someone who leans feminine but born male
Treating all gender identity issues as illness isn't the right move either.
I have no desire to do hormones or get surgeries ever but face laser hair removal sounds lovely. And high waisted women's jeans fit me a hell of a lot better than any pair of men's pants. Some of my favorite shirts are from the women's section
I'm a long time anon, long time Maga, and have studied conservatism since I was ten. Yeah, the medical and educational system has failed kids with gender identity issues but our side has too. Either our side is calling them sickos and mentally ill or they're "compassionate" and pray they "embrace their masculinity" or change to fit their idea of what's normal or right
I'd go in more in depth but if you look at it scientifically In terms of epigenetics and then metaphysically in terms of anima and animus alignment...our sides rigid views aren't exactly right either. From a strictly animal biological side maybe but not in any other way
IDK if I agree with you but I respect your right to say these things & I admire your courage to speak up. People here are sick & tired of the trans BS because it's been so pushed in our faces for so long & it's been weaponized by the cabal to tear apart society.
Well yes. One thing I know is trans people have the worst PR. Think of it how many cool or nice trans people can you think of? None, right? You think of Lia Thomas, Dylan Mulvaney, Lilytino, and the random libsoftiktok post
Our party or political aisle went through this once before. The gays. In the 80s republicans would fear monger and politicize the gays just like our party does trans today. They'd talk about poppers, orgies, bath houses, stds, will someone think of the children etc
Today you hardly hear any of that stuff. Plenty of gay or lesbian republicans or Maga folk. Trump even posed with pride flag when he was with the log cabin republicans. When the average normie thinks of gay people they think of regular normal people or maybe some artist or fashion type
That was in less than thirty years. The attitude towards gays shifted dramatically across party lines. Why? Clear messaging, lobbying on both sides of the aisle, a unified front and in general the willingness of gays to normalize in order to further their own causes. I believe right now 60 percent of Republicans have no interest in ever reversing gay marriage
But trans people don't have that. The messaging is horrible. The FUD comes from everywhere. Leftists (what they call terfs) and conservatives alike. Ultimately I view it as the next battle for personal liberties. I realize that makes no sense because the way the party views the issue
Think of it though...a small group of people wanting to make personal decisions regarding their Healthcare and the way they live their lives facing the prospect that the government will tell them what they can or can't do?
Sound familiar? I am sure it does but the average Maga or even anon has NO issue with it because it furthers their world view of strict gender roles. And I'm awake awake..a frog's frog..I see tyranny and I will call it out.
Now I'm not an apologist in every sense. If a trans person rapes a woman in a locker room or abuses children I am fully in support of putting them in front of a firing line.
It's definitely a cabal tactic though. Trans people are 0.8% of the population but some of our most brilliant minds spend hours a day on social media posting reels about cringe trans people or stirring fear. THEY want you divided.
well, i do not think trans population is even as big as 0.8%, more like 0.0001% imo...the difference is that the trans population is very vocal and gets the cameras/microphones...also, imo, gay population numbers are perceived as much larger number than in reality of around 2% of general population, if even that much...
One, I appreciate your perspective on this. As for "Think of it how many cool or nice trans people can you think of", Blaire White comes to mind, but I get your point. From your earlier description you just sound like a guy who likes girl stuff but knows your a guy, that seems fine to me. Opposite being a tom boy. However if you think you were born in the wrong body, that is where I would disagree, but if you disagree with my disagreement then whatever, I hold no power over you or what you do, and you don't need to listen to my opinion.
My initial comment was full of fire and fury, and that is aimed at the doctors convincing children of this, which we know for most it is just a phase they grow out of, or they just happen to be gay.
Now I'm not an apologist in every sense. If a trans person rapes a woman in a locker room or abuses children I am fully in support of putting them in front of a firing line.
I'm in agreement there.. but I also am not going to give any of them a chance. I don't want to wait for something horrible to happen first. There do exist pervs with autogynephilia, so sorry, with the existence of them I'm not willing to put woman and children at risk to ease a male's desire to dress like a woman and use their bathroom. (Go ahead and dress how you want, but use the correct bathroom) You didn't explicitly state a position on that, so maybe you agree.
I certainly do not hate trans people. The same cannot be said for the medical community. Hormones and surgeries I do not think are a solution. Certainly not for children, as adults.. I very much disagree with it, but would not want to outright ban it, even though I would try very much to convince them not to go that route, and wish the medical community at large did the same. Anyways, thanks for your well thought out replies.
so if i understand correctly, you lean toward cross-dressing...not a big deal, and no harm done to anyone, imo...way back in the '50's (yes, i am that old), girls were not allowed to wear "boy" clothes, mandatory dresses all throughout 12 grades of school, even on cold days...i think that's why, still today, male shirts button one direction and female clothes button the opposite! i see no "identity crisis" in the clothing one chooses to wear...
Haha yes. Cross dressing but truth be told I don't wear dresses . I mostly wear women's jeans and sometimes leggings or sweats. Both with some sort of t-shirt or button up. I have some women's shorts and a long denim skirt but those are not common wear.
I was in private school through eight grade in the 90s in it was that strict still. The girls could only wear shirts and pants during gym. In 8tg grade they were allowed to wear civilian clothes during field trips and the teachers were pissed that they were all wearing spaghetti string tops and shorts.
Those 8 years with a crew cut and the teachers checking my sock colors and belt loops were so suffocating
I'll give my perspective as someone who leans feminine but born male
