I'm over 50 and grew up in the 80's when my heroes were Eddie Murphy and Mr. T. People were able to call out each-other's differences and not have it be taken as racist. Like back in college days with black co-workers at a bar while I was a small white dude. I was getting heckled by the black guys for my taste in music (I was the DJ) and heckling them back for always having to put lotion on their dry-ass skin. Zero offense in either direction. I grew up in a time of innocent heckling in all directions without fear of it being taken as muh-racist. Anti-semitism in this same light I also don't get. I can honestly say whether someone is Jewish or not (really any religion or not, any race or not as well) shouldn't come into many things - and maybe this is a takaway from being in an enterprise-corporate-global company - we take courses each year on this type of thing. I have had cases in life where someone I thought was an older Irish guy ended up being a younger black man... just floored me one specific case. Go ahead and count this as a long winded agreement in asking "just fucking why???"
