The LNG tanker already diverted to Venezuela. The other tanker, with Russian oil, is Chinese. I don't actually know the particulars, but I'd assume Russia was paid for the oil when it was loaded. If the tablet is Chinese, is it fair to say that Putin is sending the oil to Cuba? Or is it a Chinese company? Or could it be someone else?
Trump and Putin are on the same page. Trump is allowing the oil in. Good will while the handover and golden parachutes are negotiated.
Something tells me thisnis on purpose so trump can show the world nobody moves without u.s. permission.
I doubt either of them are testing the other. Both are fighting the same enemy.

A day before they arrive... it's not our fault if the unloading dock has an accident, so they can't offload the oil tankers for a month.
Doesn't the US have the ability to offload the fuel to our tankers?
Yes. Our Navy does. But intercepting and diverting an internationally flagged vessel is different than outright piracy on the high seas. One is legal while the other would escalate things considerably.
