Nvidia is desperate to keep shareholders happy. Confidence in AI is dropping and companies are scrambling to keep the money flowing. They will say anything that brings in money at this point.
I think this is a 'i guess we just declare victory when we throw enough LLM compute behind a given agent front-end'. And their leadership picked a day to pump their stock with this enigmatic drama statement.
Turing tests have been around as a concept for a long time, what is the equivalent baseline for AI?
Weren't the chinx just caught importing controlled Nvidia AI chips?
I can't validate this. So far the best I've found is their CEO dropped an opinionated comment in a podcast that everyone latched onto.
And now Anthropic's Claude can "use your Mac for you".
Surely, nothing will go wrong with THAT. For awhile, anyway.

its a data mining extension, even if it was 'more brain electrodes' its not enough. Even our own biologicals are more powerful, we should be laughing at this claim. I am. They can introduce many new ideas and shower us with possibility, however they cannot out think us, they hallucinate with data, think about it.
Can AGI beat me on a standard IQ test? I don't think any system is near to the goal of actual general intelligence. GenA and GenB youth won't have the general intelligence to even judge it. Only us baby boomers and perhaps GenX will be able to do that.
