AI would generate “abundance on [the] planet” and create “what other religions would call Heaven on Earth,” he said. “You don’t even have to die and go up to Heaven; you can just enjoy it today—all we have to do is improve the technology.” An article published by the European Academy on Religion and Society offered a different assessment, calling Way of the Future an “AI cult” that offers people “no hope of eternal bliss, just the goal of keeping AI from turning human reality into a dystopian temporal hell.”
Way of the Future is not alone. Hall documents a wave of AI-religion integration across faiths CODE RED. In Kyoto, Japan, a Buddhist robot priest named Mindar delivers sermons at the Kodaiji Temple. When BBC News asked a Buddhist monk, Tensho Goto, whether the robot is sacrilegious, he replied, “It is not blasphemy. Although it’s a gradual process, AI is going to create a change in other religions too.” In Lucerne, Switzerland, St. Peter’s Church created an AI Jesus avatar dubbed “Deus in Machina” (God in the Machine) inside a confessional booth. Two-thirds of those who interacted with it reported having a “spiritual experience.” On Twitch, an AI Jesus chatbot called “ask_jesus” has more than eighty-eight thousand followers.

Are they worshipping the AI or using it as a tool to understand Jesus because His parables can sometimes be hard to understand and apply?
What if the AI tells them something wrong? Well, what's the difference between that and asking a bunch of priests or pastors the same question and getting different answers?
reading the Bible is challenging, especially for today's dumbed down society. If there is a tool that helps people connect to Jesus Christ and people are searching for Him and His word, isn't that a good thing?
Very valid points and I agree, however, a Jesus avatar in a confessional booth? I'm not Catholic and never been in one of those booths but I don't think I can agree with the premise here. Seems like a very slippery slope. When I want to "communicate" with a machine I will. When I want to talk to Jesus, I will. As long as people can understand the difference between the two, well, then, I guess do you.(you as a statement of generality)
Yeah, that's a bit creepy for me. I don't need an avatar of any kind to talk with Jesus!
I wonder, though... How many people will develop a new relationship with Jesus because this is a way that works for them? And, why would I assume that Jesus, who know their true hearts, would see that invitation to enter their lives?
I think it would have to be a really slow or thick mind to actually believe that the AI is the voice of God. But, then again, people have done even dumber things.
Since AI is here to stay, maybe those of us who are aware of the slippery slope need to talk with those who are using it to coach them to understand what is real, and what is a tool.
Great response. If it helps people come to a relationship with Jesus, then, YEA by all means. I was seeing things in a negative way, thanks for bringing the positivity.
that's how I use AI, I have tons of chats about Jesus and the Q-Source (common material between Mathew and Luke) it does a great job with dates, key players etc. I think it's ALL about the user, you get what you put out. My AI is always very professional and helpful, but that's how I approach it.
And speaking of AI, I remember someone making a comment about Spirit communication/AI had to be advanced enough for it to work...
Sounds kind of creepy, but I do think that's the gist of all this; we're supposed to be able to communicate with God without all the static.
here's a book by Teddy Roosevelt's 'spirit'...on the LOC website!

And remember the 'Voice of Q' song Q posted...same concept, communication in hyperspace.

Thanks for your reply! I appreciate the links. You're right: garbage in, garbage out... But if the user knows how to use the tool, the tool can be effective. Have a blessed day.
I agree. At this time, I am profoundly concerned about the FACT of the 88-book Ethiopian bible in discussions online. We know that books of the bible were intentionally removed by the romans. Apparently this fact is accepted. I do not understand this complacency at all! An entire religion is based upon something with parts intentionally hidden! Why is this acceptable? What remains, valid, yes. But so much critical truth is no doubt missing. Would my beloved Yeshua be accepting of this? I am going to see those missing books of the EB. It is all available to see.
