It occurred to me that if Iranians WERE talking to Trump's team, they would not admit to it, for OpSec reasons.
The other two times, someone got to know where they were meeting...IT was prety common knowledge, and consequently had their devices traced back to their homes, after such a meeting... It's a simple matter of geofencing.
An offramp for USA exists, if they keep very secret meetings., and fire-walled..
