Hmm, I can't recall where I read this, but about a week ago I recall seeing an article saying that France had recalled a large amount of gold being held in US vaults. Did anyone else see that? If so, maybe that's how they plan to pay for their new military.

Yes. Apparently what they did is they sold all of their gold in the New York city and it repurchased it, on an ounce by ounce basis, in Paris
