A normy asked me if I could explain why Bongino left the FBI after only a year. I told him I thought that he had accomplished what he had gone there to do, but want to get a clearer picture of why he left.
Anyone have a full explanation of why he left?
I heard Bongino say on his podcast after he came back that 1 year was always the plan from the beginning. He did not say why. Speculation has been that he was assigned a certain task and completed what he was placed to do. Nobody really knows for sure what his mission was.
Trump said as much also. Bongino's role was to help identify and clean out the deepstaters. Kash is not career law enforcement so he needed help with that part.

Andrew Bailey was hired as co-deputy director. Bailey is a very good lawyer. Bongino although very familiar with the law was not bar certified. After he identified the problems at the bureau Bongino wasn't able to start the legal proceedings to remove the treachery. Just my opinion.
I read sonewhere that he had seen the "insurance" on the infamous laptop and was so distressed, he couldn't go on-the NYPD officers didn't fair so well...

I think that Dan knows where the bodies are buried and he led the legal folks to the places.He did that and now the legal cases are being built to address the perps.
My assumption: He was appointed to have protection/unfiltered ability to produce evidence and testimony since he was SS detail for the Clintons. While phase 2 was being prepared during his short tenure for the real fireworks.
