Its actually more because the standards lowered in other ways, drugs etc.
The sex change stuff was awful and needed to go but that is such a small percent and more a political common sense move than a real change to the service.
Everyone is on the FRONTLINE now...I bought my house in this family neighborhood over 30yrs ago...now I am surrounded by NASTY apartment dwelling renters that are all illegals!! RENTERS are not OWNERS, and they TRASH everything...loan your nice car to a drunk driver and see if he returns it like he got it....lmao...I carry a 357 when I water my grass now...FUCK
I am old enough to remember how Vets were treated in the 70's...saw it with my own eyes...then my saw things like Tonkin...Agent Orange...The Phonenix Project...UK (MK...duh..)ultra....by 85 I determined that while joing is a very patriotic thing to do...the Military of then didn't really have service member's best interests in mind. A government that will cheat its way into war then treat them to horrors of being poisoned on the battlefield then treated like shit upon thier return was not a way forward to me...I said as much to the USMC rep who wanted me bad as I scored in the 90% my ASVABS and another test whos name I can't remember my path to OCS would have been set...but I spoke my mind...was dismissed as the biggest asshole that Marine had ever seen and never again would I work government.
I don't regret it...not one bit considering how troops have deployed since.
To those who did ...thank you...I think too much if I had played getting along a hard head like me I am sure I could soured hundreds with my thinking. Not good for morale.
My cousin is a recruiter in the army, he told me as soon as they lifted the ban on anyone with previous drug arrests they instantly tripled enrollment. The other part is giving a 5k bonus for soldier referrals so non recruiters are out there doing footwork too! It's not a bad idea.
The only complain is that they're pulling in a lot of druggies who weren't there in the past, but the army can usually beat that out of folks.
Only 15,000 and Trump treats soldiers much better with orders that made the military kitchens make healthier and more delicious foods and no forced vaccines anymore etc
Relaxed standards definitely helped BUT I have 2 neighbors that their 21 & 23 year old sons have joined. Not for “patriotic reasons” but because they can’t find employment that pays enough to live. At least in the military they get 3 hots and a cot and not worry how to afford to eat or pay for an apartment.
Imagine that!
We can select the best rather than accepting those looking for free sex changes..

the drugs and criminal records wet definitely a problem.
But there were women who would sign up to get a free boob job, and others would intentionally get knocked up to avoid being deployed.

Who will they really serve.

Are young men really breaking down recruiters’ doors for more war in the Middle East?
Nope, but to serve their country. How many have been deployed to the Middle East?
Only 15,000 and Trump treats soldiers much better with orders that made the military kitchens make healthier and more delicious foods and no forced vaccines anymore etc
How many have died?
No, for more PEACE in the middle east. You think Trump is a warmongerer? Wrong. He is creating peace and real man see that and respect it.
“A real man blah blah blah…”
Opinion disregarded.
