The truth about r-22 and the like is that the patent expired and the chemical companies need to regularly introduce new formulas to patent
There's additional bonuses to this method.
First, the old gasses become super expensive, so even small leaks are prohibitively expensive to recharge, but hey, why not "save" money by upgrading to a new system?
Second, the new gasses are inevitably less efficient than the old ones and require higher and higher pressures to operate, meanwhile condenser coils keep getting thinner and thinner and even switched from copper to aluminum so that leaks and catastrophic blow-outs increase, leading to more cases of bonus the first.
The new formulas have smaller molecules more prone to leaking. But that's not something anyone likes to point out. Also, I bet we could easily use smaller amounts of the old formulas with better efficiency and beef up the plumbing required to minimize leaks.
Yup that's the jist of it, as I understand. Don't worry... You can now buy a new frige with propane refrigerant. It can never be recharged in the field.
I saw this video on X a few weeks ago, this man is amazed they(the bulbs) are back and it looks like he is in a Home Depot. I looked on Walmart website, they do show some available too. https://x.com/HealthOrganica_/status/2044809793622450544
Finally. I have to sit in the dark at work b/c the lighting kills my eyes. Plus there is nothing prettier than incadescent bulbs at Christtmas time with that warm welcoming glow!!
Still waiting for incandescent bulbs to be unbanned. And we need the truth about "ozone depleting" refrigerants.

Enshitification at its purest form.
AND YOU HAVE TYPED A MOUTHFUL...I tell ya'!!!!!!!! The cars NOW are WAY to COMPLICATED along with the "CHIP" that is also on the car!!@@@
The automakers just make the cars PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE TO GET MORE BANG AND LET THE BUYERS PICKUP THE TAB!!!!!!!!
That is all!!!!

What you're suggesting actually makes sense, but nobody can grift off of that.
What about muh ozone hole? Yea it was a scam. You can still get bootleg R22. Eff Dupont.

Enshitification…is now in my vocabulary dictionary. TYVM.
Chem trail also.
Re-legalizing Refrigerant 12 is more important than a lot of people realize.
Here's the full story.
I want incandescent bulbs!

Thanks, but I don’t want to pay over $500 in shipping charges for 12 bulbs.

Please let it be true! 🙏
