Not for transportation, which is a HUGE use. The advantages of oil / gasoline / diesel and even NatGas are strong and it'll be decades before they get improved upon.
For electricity generation, that's another story. I've been reading good things about thorium for many years, and look forward to seeing it become a large and growing factor in our electric usage.

China only has 100,000 tons of thorium.
