My parents were on a small cruise like this many years ago. It got attacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia (surprise) and they had to sail to the Seychelles with an unexploded RPG lodged in the wall of one of the cabins. I have no desire to go on a cruise. kek

A Dutch cruise ship, the luxurious MV Hondius, was on a week-long polar cruise from Argentina to Antarctica.

A 70-year-old Dutch man, his 69-year-old wife, and a German national.

Groks take = MV Hondius cruise ship with ~150 people aboard is anchored off Cape Verde after a suspected hantavirus outbreak killed three passengers, including a Dutch couple; Cape Verde authorities have denied docking over public health risks while WHO and operators arrange medical evacuations.
-------- Hantavirus, a rare rodent-borne virus causing severe respiratory illness, was confirmed in at least one case; the polar expedition vessel had sailed from Argentina via Antarctica and South Atlantic islands before symptoms emerged.
-------- The post's attached video shows a passenger stating the crisis is real, urging focus on the people with families affected and calling for safety and clarity amid the ongoing restrictions.

From comments = It wasn't a week long cruise. It was a 46 day extended cruise that boarded in Argentina on March 20th.
These cases of Hantavirus almost certainly were contracted aboard the ship.
it's a non-contageous virus spread by inhaling spores from rat poop.
NEVER go on a cruise ship. They are incubators for every contagious disease imaginable.
Hantavirus is primarily spread through urine and dried feces which means the floating incubator is infested with infected rodents.
They are supposed to be flying a yellow flag.
Damn bill gates. No, ok, just no.

A 69 year old, a 70 year old. And a German national who apparently doesn't have any discernable age, have perished.
Age is key here.
