I cannot express just how stupid that is. So we give billions of dollars to Ukraine, and the oversight for that is some random Ukrainian pleb? Just throw all the insane things about this war aside, just pretend it is all legit. Why would we even give them money?! At the very least I mean why would they not submit invoices and receipts and then our own people verify and pay them out?
Instead, we basically send cash, have zero oversight, or the oversight is "the word" of the people taking in the cash, and we're expected to act surprised seeing something like this?
