He was being tongue-in-cheek. Everybody in Barstow knows that Del Taco started in Barstow and there are not many legit "street taco" vendors in Barstow. The city allowed food trucks in 2021 but Del Taco being the original Barstow street taco goes way back.
I didn't really see any issue with the ad (as in I don't see it as some gigantic blunder), but I think it's actually dems that hate it, because he described del taco as "authentic street food". So it's just another example of "the left eating its own"
My only hack to make Del Taco editable for me is to get the double beef burrito no beans or rice but add extra beef add red sauce sour cream and extra cheese order with medium sauce and you will have a Naugles Macho Beef Burrito a company that del Taco bought up. Still miss it.
